Multicam Audio Sync

Synchronization of recordings from multiple cameras (multi-camera recordings) is now also possible via audio, as many users wanted. The new feature is used when shooting with multiple cameras or even when adding recordings from a field recorder. Synchronization is possible both before editing and during editing if, for example, additional recordings are added to the project. Ultra-fast audio analysis is achieved with support for clip marks. Another innovation is the automatic selection of the number of cameras in the multi-camera preview. When synchronizing with a new multi-camera sequence, EDIUS automatically selects the optimal view based on the number of cameras.

Import Blackmagic RAW Clips

EDIUS 9.50 supports importing Blackmagic RAW format. Moreover, EDIUS is probably the only editing software on the market that supports all popular raw formats. Braw files from the URSA Mini Pro and Pocket Cinema 4K can be imported directly through the trash window.

In addition, users of the Workgroup solution also benefit from a draft mode optimized for Blackmagic RAW. Finally, EDIUS 9.50 now supports special color spaces for Blackmagic cameras.

Export Apple ProRes 4444 clips with alpha channel

Unlike many other editing systems, EDIUS allows alpha channel video export. New in EDIUS 9.50 is the export - including the alpha channel - in ProRes 4444 format. EDIUS Pro 9.50 allows ProRes 4444 export as a MOV file, while EDIUS Workgroup 9.50 additionally offers an MXF file.

Import raw formats from other cameras (Canon and Sony)

EDIUS 9.50 now supports importing Canon Cinema Raw Light material from the recently released Canon EOS C500 Mark II camera. Additionally, Sony Raw support has been updated to version 3.3. Importing Sony X-OCN material is now also possible in EDIUS 9.50.

New features in Mync

Mync Media Management Software now supports, among other things, Blackmagic RAW hardware decoding. Blackmagic Design camera color spaces are available. With the new loop playback feature, clips are automatically generated as an endless loop.
