Cranborne Audio Préampli micro 2 canaux
The Cranborne Audio Camden EC2 combines two award-winning mic, line, hi-z preamps with Cranborne Audio's famous Mojo analog saturation circuitry, plus two reference headphone amplifiers with discrete line mixers.
Camden EC2 combines the sonic capabilities of one of the cleanest, most transparent preamps on the market with the flexibility of a standalone 1U 19" chassis. Featuring two channels of preamp, the Camden EC2 achieves unprecedented performance in low noise and low distortion, plus frequency and phase linearity at all gain settings.12-way rotary gain switches for each preamp provide a perfect match for stereo mic setups. Dedicated mic, line and hi-z inputs allow it to also become a line-level saturator and dual-channel DI thanks to dedicated Link outputs on 1/4" jack. Two headphone amplifiers with independent line mixers allow monitoring direct from both preamps. You can also create latency-free artist mixes, by combining the preamps with external playback from the rear-panel Aux input jacks. e of the Camden EC2.
With its extraordinary hi-z circuitry and dedicated Link outputs on 6.35 jack for each channel, the Camden EC2 is the perfect tool for re-amping basses and electric guitars. Simply connect your instrument to a preamp using its hi-z input, connect that preamp's Link output to your amp/effects pedals, and capture that signal using the second preamp. With signals recorded simultaneously using both preamps, you can further process the affected signal or re-amp the dry DI signal at a later date.
Preamps that have the Mojo!
To get more character out of your mic preamp, Cranborne Audio developed Mojo: two analog overdrive styles that bring Camden even more width, warmth and sonic originality, all in a snap. And unlike using transformers and other legacy designs, Mojo can be subtle. It can also be overdone, but it can also be circumvented when full transparency is required for the session.
Vintage, warm and colorful - thanks to Mojo
Mojo is a new type of saturation circuit that consists of a set of filters and discrete second/third order harmonic generators. It enables precise emulation of low-frequency saturation and boost behaviors typical of vintage transformers and tube-based equipment
thump
Thump is a style that works best on low frequency based instruments, but is not limited to it. Thump excites bass content by boosting harmonics in the 100-20Hz range and below, without raising fundamental frequencies, resulting in fuller bass across all playback media. As Thump is not an EQ, the additional harmonic content is shaped by the source and its existing low frequency content, resulting in a natural addition.
Cream
Cream introduces a vintage sweetness that allows tracks to sit deep in a complex mix, in a way that an EQ can't replicate. The Cream setting dramatically increases distortion while smoothing out the low mids. As with Thump, Cream is not EQ based and is purely achieved by mixing 2 stages of saturation with the dry signal and additional harmonics. The Cream function varies entirely depending on the harmonic signature of the incoming source. It will add quality and create unique tonal shaping effects based on the mid harmonics of instruments, but it will also add bass on full band sources as well as a unique "compression style" effect on trans
