The external expansion chassis allows four PCI slots (32 bit/33 MHz) to be added to a host computer, via a single PCI Express connection. The chassis provides up to 250MB/s total bandwidth from the x1 PCIe host controller card, allowing the host computer to operate as if the cards in the expansion chassis were directly connected to the card mother. The PCIe controller card connects directly to the PCI expansion box using an included DVI cable to ensure a reliable, high quality connection.
